All Plumbers must be licensed by the state in order to perform plumbing work in South Carolina. The plumbing licenses are awarded by the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing, and Regulation, Residential Builders Commission. In order to become a plumbing specialty contractor, you must show proof of one year of experience and pass the plumbing exam.
